The simple answer is an online shop, but the truth is that we are more than just that.
Valéxico is a website that supports and promotes crafts and handmade products; it is a space where we promote the stories of artisans, artists and designers.
Why handmade?
Because we believe that understanding how, where and who makes what we buy is an essential part of being a responsible consumer. Also, buying from an artisans promotes the local economy and as a consumer you know exactly who benefits from that purchase.
We bring together creative minds and hard-working hands not only from the handmade, but from those who seek a better planet. Also, we share initiatives that help fight climate change, that help society and the environment; as well as ideas and projects of people who have dared to do different things to create an impact on their community.
We want to change the culture of consumerism, while supporting an entrepreneurial culture with a value chain in which everyone wins; and to dignify handmade work, the use of sustainable materials and applaud the creativity of those who promote a circular economy.
That is why we are not an online shop, Valexico is more than taht. We are a community of like-minded sustainable people who believe that handmade and local commerce is the change we need in the world.

Entreprenurial stories
Each product is made by a person who took the risk of doing things differently, get out of the status quo and and take their own path. They are entrepreneurs who have worked to get to where they are and we want to help them get even further.
In 2015, the UN adopted the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development, an opportunity for countries and their societies to embark on a new path to improve the lives of all, leaving no one behind. The Agenda has 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which include everything from eliminating poverty to combating climate change, education, women’s equality, environmental protection and the design of our cities.
At Valexico, we are doing our part to help achieve these objectives. With the work being done from our front line, we are helping with objectives #1: No poverty, #8: Decent work and economic growth and #12: Responsible consumption and production.
